Heavy Snowfall in Manang

POKHARA: Himalayan region across the country has witnessed heavy snowfall since Saturday night. Manang and Mustang—the districts straddling Himalayas— have been covered with over 3-feet thick snow sheet.

With the start of flurry on Saturday night, the temperature in Jomsom dropped to zero degree Celsius, according to Anup Joshi, Jomsom Airport in-charge. All the flights to and from Jomsom have been canceled as the runway remained covered with snow.

Head of Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), Bidur Kuinkel informed that the snowfall has made the life in the region further difficult.
