Annapurna Circuit trek with Tilicho Lake takes us to the world’s highest Tilicho lake at an altitude of 4919 meters in the Manang District of Nepal. The first part of the trail is the Annapurna circuit, a popular name for a trek within the Annapurna mountain range. The area boasts of a variety of diverse cultures, tribes and castes as the Brahmins, Chettris, Newars, Gurungs, Magars, Thakalis, Manangis and the Tibetans.This area has sub-tropical lowlands, valleys, bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests, alpine meadows, windswept desert plateaus and the towering Annapurna Mountains. This area has the world's deepest river gorge, Kali Ghandaki, lying some 6900 meters, Animals and birds are in abundance in this region. More than 400 species of birds and animals like the marten, deer, langur and the elusive snow leopard live in this area. However, from Manang we go to the mail valley to the west and trek up to the Tilicho Lake. The important aspect regarding the trek to Tilicho Lake is the highest lake in the world that lake lays on the lap of mountain. The beautiful lake has religious importance as well. According to Hindu mythology it is the lake where crow recited the Ramayana to the Garuda and thus this lake is regarded as one of the holy spots. Our trail again joins the Annapurna circuit route and crosses two different river valleys and encircles the Annapurna massif, the trek raises to an elevation of 5416m one of the highest Thorong La or Thorung La pass, touching the edge of the Tibetan plateau. On our journey we pass through forests, cross pristine meadows, experience the flora and fauna.
